Oudens Ello Architecture's cultural projects range from small scale renovations to master plans. OEA's extensive and ongoing work with libraries and museums is representative of its strength conceiving public space of high quality and distinctive character. Over the past several years, OEA have produced numerous conceptual designs for its museum clients as well as completed two new public libraries, both of which received LEED certification. Two new public libraries are underway. Historical context often plays a critical role in the shaping of OEA's cultural work. Design strategies strive to balance modern technologies and a contemporary architectural expression with preservation of the historical artifact and deference to its scale, materiality and setting.
